CELA CLUB
Project in Kyrgyzstan
CELA fellows in Kyrgyzstan launched a CELA Club that serves as a platform for communication between young leaders of the country. It was started up in April 2008 to conduct special events with high-profile speakers to raise awareness among participants of various spheres of life.
The first event featured Azamat Dikambaev, chief of the Department on Economic and Social policy of the Presidential Administration, to speak on the new economic policy for Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the “Development Strategy for Kyrgyzstan 2007 – 2010”. The second event hosted ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Muratbek Imanaliev to present his views on "Globalization and Central Asia".
CELA CLUB informally unites a group of people capable of improving their society through the power of education and good works; who share common values and look beyond the boundaries of their own careers to change the world for the better.
