Objectives of CELA

The CELA program provides long-term training, education and mentoring, networking and action projects. The approach is designed around a multivalent model of sharing and fostering leadership approaches through activities designed to connect emerging leaders with one another in the region.

Hence, since its inception, CELA has set itself the following goals:

  • To enhance capabilities in conflict negotiation and mediation, team-work and communication, management dilemmas, defining and implementing a vision, and other practical leadership skills;
  • To identify common interests and values across religious, cultural and ethnic divides;
  • To establish and train sustainable networks of transformational leaders;
  • To improve mutual relations between the nations of the Central Eurasia through networking their emerging leaders and catalyzing regional thinking and initiatives;
  • To help and encourage the countries of the region to build the human capacity to move towards needed social, economic and political transformation;
  • To facilitate better information for Western leaders in the public and private sector from local leaders from Central Eurasia about their countries, leading to improved Western understanding of (and policies towards) the region.
