CELA 7 Leadership Workshop,

The CELA 7 Leadership Workshop will take place 16-25 July 2008.
Applicants should consult the documents below. They are also
strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the CELA
Brochure and other materials on this website.
The Call for Applications specifies application
criteria, including age limits (28-42), applicants’ citizenship
(one of the 9 Central Eurasian countries), and professional sectoral
breakdown of the workshop.
The deadline for submitting the Application Form is
Monday, 10 March 2008.
Interviews with the CELA Selection Committee, usually by telephone,
will be scheduled only if necessary. They are not mandatory and
many applications have been successful without a telephone interview
with the Selection Committee. Otherwise, the CELA Director or
other CELA representatives in the Central Eurasian region may
get in contact with applicants to make themselves available for
informational interviews or consultations, to answer inquiries,
and generally represent and advertise CELA in the region.
Applicants should be informed of the status of their applications
in April. As the Selection Committee will apply an ongoing rolling
process or selection by rounds, there is an advantage
(in terms of competition) in applying earlier rather than later. In
2007 CELA received approximately 700 applications.
